Movie Review: Zootopia

I loved Zootopia (2016). It’s very wholesome. Disney is very good at making animated films that both kids and adults can both thoroughly enjoy. There are jokes in this film that only adult will understand and jokes only kids will understand. However, the majority of the jokes in this film can be understood by both parents and their children.     I also loved the world the filmmakers built. The city of Zootopia seems like an actual functioning city. Every animal in the city serves a purpose within it.   Certain sections of the city also reflect the species of animal that lives there. Review: ESPN 30 for 30: Nature Boy

The one thing that struck me while watching this documentary is that Ric Flair’s life deserves more than an hour and a half of screen time. Rory Karf, who directed this documentary could have made a four-hour film about Ric Flair’s life and it still wouldn’t have been long enough. However, Karf does an admirable job on capturing the hilarity, the triumph, and the tragedy of the life and times of Ric Flair.     This documentary shows to the generation of fans that never saw Ric Flair in his prime just how great he really was. In his prime while he was the NWA Champion, Flair wrestled in the main event of the card, every day of the year and drew a sellout crowd every time. Flair’s in ring persona of ‘The Nature Boy’ was also a major part of his popularity.   He had the most the most expensive cars, flew in fancy jets, slept with the best-looking women, and he had the world title. There will be no doubt in the viewer’s mind after watching this documentary that Ric Flair was the g

Review: Stranger Things Season 2

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1 ARE BELOW! NO SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2!     After the first season of Netflix’s Stranger Things became the most talked about show of 2016 The Duffer Brothers, the show’s creators, found themselves in quite a predicament. How can we possibly make a follow up that’s worthy of the original season’s brilliance? The Duffer Brothers don’t quite get there with season two of Stranger Things . However, Stranger Things is still the most fun you’re going to have watching a television show.     The second season picks up one year after the first season ended and largely involves the characters attempting to return to a sense of normalcy. However, the Upside Down, the alternate dimension haunting Hawkins is still active. The characters ultimately realize that returning to a normal life isn’t possible at that moment and realize that they must do battle once again against the Demogorgons that threaten to take over the small town of Hawkins, Indiana and once again Will Byers
